Sinn UX SDR Hydro 403.05 - 2023

Sinn UX SDR Hydro 403.05 Sinn make some of the toughest tool watches around, and some of the coolest, too. Based around the EZM 2 mission timer created for the Grenzschutzgruppe 9 (GSG 9) German Special Forces in the mid-1990s, the UX SDR is all about functionality and the ability to perform in the most demanding of situations. While every tool watch they make stands up to abuse better than most, this is perhaps the daddy, and as tough as they come. It features a 44mm bead-blasted case made from U-Boat steel for maximum salt water resistance, it is surrounded by a captive uni-directional diver’s bezel tempered to 1500 Vickers with Tegiment Technology. It houses a matte black dial with very legible lumed markers, fully lumed hands and a discreet colour matched date at 3. What makes it so interesting is that it is filled with oil. This does a few things for functionality, the first being it is extremely legible at any angle as it removes reflections and distortion, the second is the increased water resistance to a monstrous 5000 metres, and the third is that it is impossible for it to fog up. There is nothing built like a Sinn. Powering it is high grade ETA 955.652 quartz movement, with a 180 month power duration, quick set date, end of life indicator and thermocompensated to allow for accuracy that is within a second a month. Finishing it off is tegimented bead-blasted stainless bracelet, and this example also includes two textile Sinn straps, and a Sinn 'gator strap so you could change the look up whenever you please. This particular piece was first sold locally in 2023 and presents in TZ 'Excellent' condition. The case is very clean as you'd expect of tegimented steel, with only minor marks present. Bezel shows some scuffs, mainly between 25 and 30 and near the lume pip. Case back shows minor rub marks from being rested on the bracelet. Outer AR coating shows marks. Please see images for full condition details. Bracelet includes all links, and shows only very minor desk diving marks. No service history, too new for that. All functions operate as they should and keeping time within spec. Comes with outer box, inner box, instruction manual, strap changing tools, Loctite, warranty card (expired), spare links to complete the bracelet, 2 x Sinn Textile straps and a Sinn 'gator strap. One of the toughest, most capable tool watches out there in our opinion.
