IWC Ingenieur IW322701 3227-01

IWC Ingenieur IW322701 Made in fairly limited numbers, and for only a few years between 2005 and 2009, the IWC 3227-01 is a throw back to Ingy's of old and comes from perhaps my favourite era of the Ingenieur. Featuring a brushed and polished 42.5mm case with awesome double-stepped bezel, housing a guilloche black textured dial with applied luminous markers and luminescent hands, with a nicely integrated date window at 3. Powering it is the in-house 80110 automatic calibre, and it is topped off with IWC's superb steel bracelet with easily adjusted sizing that is super comfy on the wrist. Put this all together with superb anti-magnetic properties and the 3227 is one of those rare pieces which is just as at home in the lab as it is on the beach. This particular example would date from the 00's and presents in TZ 'Good' condition. The case is in excellent condition, with minimal marks present. The bezel shows some light scratches, and the presence of a small nick between 1 and 2 is the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Excellent' grading, as well as some very small dings on the outer edge of the bezel. The anti-reflective coating is on both sides on these, and the top side there's a very small mark just to the right of the IWC logo. Case back shows minor scratching.
