Sarpaneva x Moomin - 2021

Sarpaneva x Moomin Sarpaneva first celebrated Moomins, the central characters in a series of books and a comic strip by Swedish-Finn illustrator and writer Tove Jansson, with the S.U.F Moomin edition released in 2020. This was based around the S.U.F 180 case, a 38mm field watch, and this is the follow up to that release in full-blow Sarpaneva spec. It features the most amazing hand-finished 3-layer skeletonized dial, which is then painstakingly hand painted in the Sarpaneva workshop in Tritec lume in 8 colours. Not only is it spectacular in no-light conditions, but even in low-light it gives off a subtle glow, and the way this light plays off the skeletonized dial is one of our favourite features of the way lume is used on Sarpaneva's. All of this is housed in the superb K3 case measuring in at 42mm that is brushed and polished Outokumpu stainless steel from Finland, and features 100m of water resistance. Don't be afraid of the size. The short 46mm lug-to-lug ensures it'll fit most wrists, and it wears more like a 40mm traditional watch in our opinion. Powering it is a modified Soprod A10 automatic movement and the signature Sarpaneva Moonface winding mass. To top it off its mounted to a very cool handmade Salmon strap with signature tang buckle. This particular example would date from 2021 and presents in TZ 'Near Mint' condition. There's some minor hairlines and scuffs present on the polished case sides, but that's about it. Please see images for full condition details. Strap is in a short size, and in near-new condition, with the buckle showing a tiny desk dive mark. No service history, but far too new for that. All functions operating as they should. Comes with outer box, treasure roll made by Finlayson, warranty slip, Sarpaneva stickers and Moomin book. This piece seems to impress everyone who lays eyes on it.
