Sinn EZM 13.1 Diving Chronograph Sinn make some of the toughest tool watches around, and some of the coolest, too. The EZM range - which stands for Einsatzzeitmesser, or mission timer in English - is perhaps their most iconic line along with the U diving series. The lineage began with the EZM 1 of 1997, and debuted a watch that was highly legible, capable and endowed with the Sinn toughness one has now come to expect from the brand. Not many stand up to heavy use as well as a Sinn does. The EZM 13.1 debuted in 2022, and is essentially a facelift of the previous EZM 13.Featuring a 41mm bead-blasted steel casesurrounded by a uni-directional dive bezel, it houses a matte black dial with lumed markers, fully lumed hands and a discreet date between 3 and 4 in red. It is remarkably legible and fuss-free for a chronograph, and that is thanks to the use of the calibreSZ02, a modified Valjoux 7750, with it's use of a central seconds hand for the 60 second counter, with 60 minutes at 6, and running seconds at 3. These chrono functions are operated in a destro layout, so the pushers and crown sit on the left rather than right side of the case, with the lower pusher being your start/stop, and the upper pusher being reset. This is the most ergonomic way of mounting chrono pushers, as you activate it with your thumb in it's natural position. The technical specs are enormous, as you'd expect of a proper tool watch from Sinn. It'sDIN 8306 dive watch certified with a water resistance of 500m, has a magnetic resistance to 80,000 A/M, with Ar-Dehumidifying Technology to ensure no fogging should any trace amounts of moisture enter the case. There is nothing built like a Sinn. Finishing it off is a robust and very comfortable bead-blasted stainless bracelet. This particular piece was first sold locally in 2022 and presents in TZ 'Excellent' condition. The case is very clean, with some minor marks on the lugs, and right side of the case. Bezel shows no marks. Case back shows rub marks and small scratches from being rested on the bracelet. Please see images for full condition details. Bracelet includes all links, and shows desk diving marks. No service history, too new for that. Winds smoothly, all functions operate as they should and keeping COSC time measured dial-up on a timegrapher. Comes with outer box, inner box, instruction manual, strap changing tools, warranty card (expired) and spare links to complete the bracelet. One of the toughest, coolest tool watches out there in our opinion.
