Rado Captain Cook MkII Tradition Re-Issue Limited Edition R3352215 763.0522.3 Released in 2019 as a limited run of 1962 pieces, the Captain Cook MKII from Rado was a follow up to the immensely popular MKI re-issue of 2017. This original re-issue was a very faithful rendition of the first diver from Rado dating back to 1962, and the MKII version pays homage to the second generation which as you can see, started to gain some flair with its distinctive 60's/70's design aesthetic with the use of hooded lugs, curvaceous case, and inner rotating bezel. Rado again kept things very faithful to the original. The case is made of steel, and measures in at 37mm, with a lug-to-lug of 40mm, making it very compact and able to fit all wrists. Within this case lies an inner rotating bezel, with red demarcation for the first 15 minutes adding a vibrant pop of colour against the inky black dial. Markers are applied, and lume abounds on the dial, bezel and hands. It's mounted to a very cool, and super comfy, beads of rice style bracelet and it's powered by the ETAC07.611 with 80 hours of power reserve. This particular piece was first sold in 2022 and presents in TZ 'Near Mint' condition. The case shows some very minor swirlies, small marks and hairlines, but nothing large. Please see images for full condition details. Bracelet includes all links, and shows minor desk dive marks. All functions operating as they should, and keeping time at around -11 seconds a day dial-up on a timegrapher. Includes outer box, inner box, manual, card holder, warranty card (expired), LE card, hang tag and spare links to complete the bracelet. A very cool piece, made in a limited series of 1962 pieces, and a perfect watch for Summer.
