Ming 17.06 Copper Dial So what is the 17.06? It’s simply one of the coolest new Independent watches to hit the scene in recent years. Cool enough to win the GPHG 2019 Horological Revelation award, in fact. The Copper variant was the first release in the 17.06 series from Ming, and it seems the buying public loved it as much as the GPHG judges, with it selling out almost immediately upon launch. Ming's first watch to use 316L stainless steel for its 38mm case, it has 100m of water resistance, with a beautiful polished finish. The dial is a beautiful shade of copper, with sapphire outer ring and generous amounts of Super-Luminova across this ring, hands and markers. The movement is a top grade ETA 2824-2 regulated and adjusted to 5 positions by Schwarz-Etienne.It comes mounted on a stunning smooth tan leather strap with white stitching, handmade by Jean Rousseau Paris. This particular piece was purchased in November 2021 and presents in TZ 'Excellent' condition. The case sides shows some minor rub marks and hairlines, and the bezel shows some swirls and scratches. Nothing deep. Case back shows some rub marks from having the case back sticker in place. Strap shows some creasing and some minor wear where it passes through buckle.
